Health Initiatives

Supporting local healthcare improvements for our communities well-being. As Chair of the North Okanagan, Columbia, Shuswap Hospital District, I am keenly aware of, and involved with, the many challenges facing both our residents as well as our health care professionals. I am committed to drastic changes and improvements in our health care delivery practices and policies to ensure the fastest and best medical services possible. As an independent MLA who is working with BC Interior Health Care challenges on a daily basis and, as a former paramedic, I know where critical improvement can, and must, be made.

Sustainable Development & Industry

I support and recognize the need to promote and encourage eco-friendly projects for a greener North Okanagan future while, at the same time, ensuring the sustainability and viability of the forestry, agricultural and mining industries that are vital economic engines in a potentially vibrant BC economy. As a board member of the Economic Trust of the Southern Interior, I am uniquely positioned to ensure the best possible assessment and outcomes for economic initiatives that will benefit all Vernon-Lumby constituents, both environmentally responsible and financially beneficial to the employment prospects and well-being of our hard-working, industrious residents and citizens.
